THINGS TO DO

Barbados is a windsurfers heaven, especially on the Atlantic side.  The Caribbean side offers tranquility and great swimming or just lazing around soaking up the rays.  Duty free shopping is abundant with several large department stores and numerous high end boutiques that also cater to the well heeled crowd.  That truly does not mean that things are not affordable for those who would like to take home a trinket or two.  Watches are about 30% of prices in the United States.
Besides shopping there is much to enjoy in Barbados: Harrison’s cave where you travel by a small train into the case.  You can also visit old plantation houses and see the remnants of slavery, stroll the beautiful gardens and of course there is golf.  Cricket is a national sport in the Caribbean, and Barbados is no exception.

CUISINE

Barbados has an abundance of restaurants that covers all price ranges.  Of course the price tag for some of these places is a bit on the high side, but sitting Oceanside being catered to with the moonlight and very romantic settings, what more could you possibly ask for at this very important stage in your life.  Because of the British influence (Barbados was ruled by the British for over 3 ½ centuries).  While in Barbados you will want to savor the local cuisine and of course get some local ‘bush’ medicine.
